Xcode is a large app and when you install it from the Mac App Store, it tends to download a little slowly. Often users are tempted to install it via a torrent but that’s not a good idea as it might have been tampered with. To that end, do not use any other source other than the Mac App Store to download Xcode. To exclude downloads, I run a couple of builds to make sure that I got all downloads cached and Xcode is warmed-up. I use iStat Menus to put an upload/download counter in my menu bar. I don't see significant downloads there during the build. I think Xcode is just moody, for the lack of a better term.
- Slow Xcode 9.4 download from the Mac App Store. Seems every new release has the same problem. Incredibly slow download - around 2 days download 5gb.
- I am using xcode 12.4 and I can't find the downloads tab in preferences. I can't download the simulator using xcode because it is very slow, so I used aria2c but now I can't install it.

I have been downloading xcode 3.2.4_and_ios_sdk4.1.dmg for over 24 hours and see no end in sight. My download pane noted that the download would be 2.94 GB which was reached today at 1500 HRS, yet it continues to download. At the moment 3.44 GBs have downloaded.
The bummer is that I already had xcode v3.2.4 but found no way to only download the iOS SDK.
Anyone know how many more days this will take? My wife is beyond mad as we share the same bandwidth.
